Confectioner and passionate contestant, Quentin Guirao won the Swiss National Selection after completing 5 assignments in a heated chocolate battle against Switzerland’s finest.

During the National Selection of Switzerland, Quentin focused his efforts on balanced creations that represented the Play! theme and that brought his unique style and approach to chocolate creations into the picture.

The seemingly rough texture was a chef’s favourite, and present throughout all assignments. The contestant, now the Swiss World Finalist, seemed to prefer darker chocolates with bitter hints, like Cacao Barry Evocao Wholefruit or Callebaut Sao Thomé. As for the designs, it was easy to see a red thread in the sleek edges and sharp cuts in all creations.
